Presidential Panel Asks Buhari To Sack Magu, Appoint New EFCC Boss

President Muhammadu Buhari has been asked to sack and prosecute the suspended acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, for corruption and abuse of office.

According to The Cable, the Justice Ayo Salami-led presidential panel made the recommendation to President Buhari in its interim report submitted on Wednesday.

Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has apologised to Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State for withdrawing his name from the list of  speakers at Annual General Conference might have caused.

The President of NBA, Paul Usoro, in a letter addressed to the Director-General, Nigerian Governors’ Forum on Friday, takes full responsibility for the incident.

Accord Party governorship candidate in Edo State, Godday Idahosa, has dumped his party for the Peoples Democratic Party ahead of the September 19 election.

Idahosa announced his defection to the ruling party on Friday at the Ogbona Ward 8 and 9 campaign ground in Uhiele, Esan West Local Government Area of the state.
