Pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere has the hailed the decision of the leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), to drop Governor Naisr El-Rufai of Kaduna State from its conference.
This was following the outcry from lawyers across the country who threatened to boycott the event.
Reacting to the removal of his name, El-Rufai it as an “unfortunate embrace of injustice”.
He noted that he will continue to offer his opinions on critical issues in the country and his voice will not be silenced.
Speaking to Daily Independent,, Afenifere, through Yinka Odumakin, said praised the association for naming and shaming the governor.
According to the Afenifere, El-Rufai has governing Kaduna state with impunity in the last five years.
He said: “NBA must be commended for naming and shaming El-Rufai. El-Rufai has governed in the last five years with impunity and total disregard for rule of law”.
“It’s a good thing that the NBA has done and they must be commended. It will serve as a lesson to him on how to behave in public life”.
