Buhari Sacks NDE DG Argungu, Asks Keyamo To Appoint Replacement

President Muhammadu Buhari has renewed the appointment of Mr Joseph Chiedu Ugbo, as the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC).

The president also approved the renewal of the appointments of Babayo Shehu and Ifeoluwa Oyedele as Executive Directors of the NDPHC for another period of 4 years.

The president also conveyed his approval for the appointment of three additional directors for the organization to guarantee more effectiveness and efficiency in the discharge of its activities.

A statement on Thursday by Mr. Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Office of the Vice President, noted that:

“President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the renewal of the appointment of Mr Joseph Chiedu Ugbo as the Managing Director of Niger Delta Power Holding Company and Messrs Babayo Shehu and Ifeoluwa Oyedele as Executive Directors respectively.

“This renewal will take effect from August 25, 2020 for a period of four (4) years.

“The appointment of three (3) additional directors have also been approved for more effective and efficient coverage of the company’s areas of activity,”

Similarly, a presidency tweet on the development has it that: “President @MBuhari has approved the renewal of the appointment of Mr Joseph Chiedu Ugbo as Managing Director of Niger Delta Power Holding Company and Messrs Babayo Shehu & Ifeoluwa Oyedele as Executive Directors respectively, with effect from Aug 25, 2020 for a period of 4 years.”
