NCDC Speaks On Starting Recruitment Exercise

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has denied reports that it was “conducting any recruitment activities at this time”.

The NCDC made this known in an SMS sent to mobile subscribers on Thursday.

According to the agency, Nigerians should not offer any payment in return for employment.

It reads: “NOTICE: Beware of fraud! NCDC will never request for payment in return for employment and NCDC is not conducting any recruitment activities at this time.”

Naija News reports that NCDC on Wednesday Night confirmed five hundred and ninety-three (593) new cases of COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria.

The health agency at exactly 11:17 pm on August 19 confirmed the new cases on its official Twitter account. The development brings the overall confirmed cases of the dreaded disease to 50,488 in Nigeria.

So far, 37,304 people have been reportedly discharged from the dreaded pandemic in Nigeria, while total cases of death rise to 985.
