Nigerians Announce Exit From NBA Virtual Meeting After Gov El-Rufai’s Name Appears As Guest Speaker

Some Nigerian have taken to the social media to declare that they will boycott the forthcoming virtual conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).

Naija News understands that the attendees took the decisions after discovering the inclusion of Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai as one of the guest speaker at the virtual meeting.

The citizens condemned NBA for naming Governor El-Rufai as one of its speakers, according to them the decision only shows that the association is in support of insecurity in the Southern Kaduna.

“Dear @NigBarAssoc, I just ran through the list of speakers in the forthcoming virtual conference and Gov. El-Rufai’s name is on the list. I’ll be withdrawing my attendance and cancelling my registration for the conference,” said one Itong Washington who lamented over the development.

Valerian Nwadike who also condemned the decision, promised to deregister himself from attending the conference should NBA refused to remove El-Rufai as speaker in the forthcoming conference.

He tweeted; “If El-Rufai isn’t Removed as Speaker in the Forthcoming NBA Conference I’ll Withdraw my attendance and cancel my Registration.”

“NBA SHOULD NEVER BE SEEN AS ENABLERS OF INSECURITIES IN SOUTHERN KADUNA.”
