South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced that almost all laws imposed on the country will be relaxed following the COVID-19 epidemic on Monday.

The president made the remarks at a time when the disease is on the rise in the country.

Among the laws to be relaxed, including a controversial law banning the sale of alcohol in the country.

At the same time, trips and crowds will continue to be small and businesses will open.

In a televised address, the president said the concessions would help revive the country’s economy.
