The Chief Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has directed the 36 commissioners of police across the country to do everything possible to identify and arrest any person or group possessing illegal firearms. they.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the police said the order was issued as a result of preparations for the by-elections in Edo and Ondo states and the force’s efforts to curb the proliferation of illegal weapons.
