According to transfer rumours, Ronaldo has been offered to Barcelona by Juventus as they look to reduce their enormous wage bill which has affected their financial fortunes.
The Serie A champions have been hit financially by the global COVID-19 pandemic and having been dumped out of this season’s champions league by Lyon, the club has had another source of income cut off.
Citing Spanish journalist Guillem Balague, Goal reports that the Italian giants have therefore contacted Barcelona about the possibility of signing Ronaldo in the current transfer window.
The move will reduce the financial pressure on Juve and reduce the club’s current wage bill.
The player who finished last season with 35 goals in all competitions, could cost as much as 120 million euros.
