Sanwo-Olu Reacts As APC Picks Him To Lead Akeredolu’s Re-election Campaign In Ondo

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State has described the decision of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for him to lead the 104-member National Campaign Council for the Ondo Governorship Election as an honour.

He further gave assurance of his commitment to lead the party to victory in the re-election bid of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu whom he described as a brother.

Naija News recalls the appointment of Sanwo-Olu was made known in a statement titled, “Governor Babajide Sanwoolu Heads 104-Member APC National Campaign Council for Ondo State Governorship Election,” signed by the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, Yekini Nabena, on Tuesday.

The Ondo governorship election campaign council will be inaugurated on Saturday 15th August, 2020 at the APC National Secretariat by 2 pm.

Reacting to his appointment, Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday wrote on Twitter that: “It is an honour to lead the APC National Campaign Council for the Ondo State Governorship election.

The council of 103 other eminent and distinguished party leaders is an affirmation of how serious our party takes the re-election of my brother, Governor @RotimiAkeredolu.

As the campaign council settles down to deliver on its mandate, I give my strong commitment to ensure the task ahead of the council is faithfully executed and victory will be certain.”

The Ondo Governorship Election is scheduled to hold on October 10, 2020.
