Zenith Labour Party Members Defect To APC In Ondo

The All Progressives Congress in Ondo State on Tuesday received thousands of defectors from the Zenith Labour Party.

The defectors while speaking promised to work with the governorship candidate of the party, Rotimi Akeredolu.

A member of the House of Representatives representing Akoko North East/ North West Federal Constituency of the state, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo who led the defectors to the governor, said the performance of Akeredolu across all sectors had made his re-election a statewide project.

He said, “Governor Akeredolu good deeds are everywhere in terms of education, infrastructure, entrepreneurship, industrialisation, human capital development, service delivery, the welfare of workers”

The leader of the defectors, Femi Ikoyi, promised the Ondo State Governor of the desire of the group to add significant value to his re-election as Governor of Ondo State.

However, the Publicity Secretary of the ZLP, Mr Felix Olatunde said those people that left the party for the APC had left the ZLP a long time ago.
