Prophet Abiara Curses Politicians, Officials That Steal COVID-19 Funds

Prophet Samuel Abiara, a former General Overseer of the Christ Apostolic Church has warned politicians and other government officials against stealing from the COVID-19 funds.

The popular prophet warned that anyone who steals from the funds will become cursed and the curse will also follow such a person’s family members.

Abiara gave the warning in a statement on Monday, 10th August where he also appreciated the Lagos State government for granting approval for the reopening of worship centers in the state.

The prophet’s statement read in part:

“For those who are in charge of the donation of money, food items, etc, God said you must not steal anything from the money, food and all items donated for COVID-19 for yourself. If you do that, curses of the pandemic will be in the family of those who do this.”

Meanwhile, Naija News recalls the organized Private Sector Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID) has disclosed plans to share N23bn worth of palliative to ten million Nigerians.

Zouera Youssoufou, administrator of CACOVID made this known on Thursday, August 6, adding that the sector has commenced the distribution exercise which is targetted at reaching 1.6 million households.

Similarly, Governors of the 36 states of the federation have promised to work with relevant stakeholders to ensure residents of each state benefit from the COVID-19 palliatives.

The Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State gave the assurance after the 14th teleconference meeting of the forum.

He assured that each state will work with its COVID-19 Task Force to ensure the palliatives get to all needed places.
