Lagos: APC Replies As PDP Guber Candidate Calls For Sanwo-Olu’s Resignation

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been appointed by the All Progressives Congress as the chairman of the 104-member National Campaign Council for the Ondo Governorship Election.

This was contained in a statement titled, “Governor Babajide Sanwoolu Heads 104-Member APC National Campaign Council for Ondo State Governorship Election,” signed by the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, Yekini Nabena, in Abuja, late Tuesday..

The party’s flagbearer, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, will contest against  Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, Eyitayo Jegede, among other contenders in the October 10 governorship election.

The statement read in part, “The Chairman of the Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Mai Mala Buni has approved the appointment of the Governor of Lagos State, H.E. Babajide Sanwoolu to chair the Party’s high-level National Campaign Council for the Ondo State Governorship Election.

The statement further noted that Plateau state governor, H.E. Simon Lalong will serve as Deputy Chairman and Comrade Mustapha Salihu as Secretary of the 104-member APC National Campaign Council.

It said that the party would inaugurate the campaign council on Saturday 15th August, 2020 at the APC National Secretariat by 2pm..

Other members of the council include; Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; and other governors under the APC.
