The Peoples Democratic Party has been called on by the convener of the Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju, to lead a protest against Godswill Akpabio, Minister of Niger Delta Affairs.

The activist said the opposition party should lead a protest to the Presidential Villa and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, calling for Akpabio’s sack.

According to him, PDP should also call for the sack of the Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Kemebradikumo Pondei.

Adeyanju who took to his Twitter account noted that PDP should protest against the N81 billion allegedly spent during the COVID-19 lockdown by the NDDC.

He tweeted: “PDP should be leading a protest to Aso Rock or EFCC asking for the sack of Akpabio, Pondei and co who are alleged to have stolen N81bn during COVID-19 lockdown when Nigerians were passing through hell. Then look at the N64bn for fencing UniMaid.”

The House of Representatives is currently probing the mismanagement of funds by NDDC management.
