Arsenal Confirms Aubameyang As Its Player Of The Season

English premier league club, Arsenal has confirmed striker and captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as its 2019/2020 player of the season.

This was confirmed in a statement on the club’s official Twitter handle on Saturday, 8th August.

The Gabonese international was in impressive form during the just-concluded season, scoring 29 goals and providing 3 further assists as well as leading the team to a record 14th FA Cup trophy with two beautiful goals in the final against Chelsea.

Meanwhile, it will be recalled as previously reported by Naija News that the 31-year-old striker who has been in a fantastic goal scoring form for the club is close to coming to an agreement over a new contract.

Aubameyang currently has 11 months left on his current deal and the club is keen to tie him up to a new deal.

It has however emerged over the past few hours that an agreement is close between the two parties over the terms of a new contract for the striker and the details will soon be finalized.
