Edo Assembly Holds First Plenary, Orders Closure Of House’s Bank Account

The factional members of the Edo State House of Assembly, under the leadership of the new Speaker, Hon Victor Edoror, On Friday held their first sitting.

The factional speaker in his statement ordered the closure of all bank accounts and directed the executive to stay clear of the house activities.

Recall that some members of the Edo State House of Assembly on Thursday elected Victor Edoror as the Speaker of the Assembly.

Following the impeachment of Yekini Idaiye as Deputy Speaker and the emergence of a new one, no fewer than 17 lawmakers declared Edoror speaker on Thursday.
