Corruption Allegation: Malami Must Be Suspended ,Group Tells Buhari

The Attorney General of the Federation, Mr Abubakar Malami has been dragged into a corruption scandal as Kebbi Concerned Citizens Initiative group called for his immediate suspension.

Naija News learnt that the group petitioned President Muhammadu urging him to order an independent probe into all allegations against Malami to convince Nigerians and the international community that the administration’s anti-corruption fight was real.

In the letter, the group said these “damaging” allegations against Malami are “too heavy” to ignore.

“The damaging series of publications of corruption against the attorney-general and minister of justice are significant and too heavy to ignore. The allegations ranging from the accumulation of huge wealth, houses, businesses and other landed properties which according to were alleged to have relation with corruption and abuse of office,” the director-general said,” he said.

However, In a reaction to the development, another social-political group has called on the president to disregard the call by several people and political big wig to sack or suspend Malami.

Naija news learnt that Zuru Patriotic Forum (ZPF) described media attacks on Malami through some political big wig as sponsored and barbaric.

Chairman of the northern group, Sani Tadi, told newsmen in Birnin Kebbi yesterday that the forum was shocked to see such petition from Kebbi Concerned Citizens (KCC) against Malami
