Tragedy As Ten People Die In Plane Crash

Two pilots on Thursday were killed after a light aircraft they were flying crashed on landing at Egypt’s Gouna Airport on the Red Sea.

This was made known by the civil aviation ministry spokesman Bassem Abdel Karim.

The two-seater private tour plane, registered to Airman Sky Sports, was on a test flight when it crashed.

An investigation has been launched by Egypt’s prosecutor general and the civil aviation ministry to ascertain the cause of the crash.

Naija News recalls that a Russian airliner, in November 2015, was bombed by the Islamic State jihadist group, killing all 224 people on board.

In May 2016, an EgyptAir flight carrying 66 people from Paris to Cairo crashed into the Mediterranean.
