President Muhammadu Buhari’s led administration said it has granted all commercial banks in the country permission to operate fully.

According to the federal government in a statement on Thursday, August 6, banks can now open all their branches.

Speaking during a media briefing today, Dr. Sani Aliyu, the National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, noted that President Muhammadu Buhari has extended the eased lockdown by another four weeks.

“We have said banks can fully resume. They no longer have to select the branches to open,” Aliyu noted.

Aliyu again gives clarification that PTF does not recommend testing of students before they resume schools across the country.
