President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has reacted to the massive explosion that rocked Beirut, in Lebanon on Tuesday, August 4.

According to Trump while responding to the horrible blast that has reportedly claimed about 100 lives, it was ‘bomb of some kind’.

Naija News understands that more than 4,000 people suffered severe injuries from the terrible explosion. President Trump reiterated that the “terrible attack” was caused by a “bomb of some kind”.

The US president noted that he met with U.S. generals following the incident which caught the attention of the whole world.

“They just seem to feel that this was not some kind of manufacturing explosion type of an event. They seem to think it was an attack. It was a bomb of some kind”, he said.

On his part, Marwan Abboud, Beirut Governor, told reporters that more than a hundred people are yet to be discovered after the blast, including several firefighters.

According to him while speaking to reporters on Wednesday, August 5, “Beirut has never gone through what it went through yesterday.”

Meanwhile, Lebanon’s Interior Minister, Mohammed Fahmi, has claimed that the deadly explosion was caused by an ammonium nitrate stored in a warehouse at the port.
