TheBREAKING: ZLP's Agboola Ajayi Picks Running Mate For Ondo ElectionOndo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, has revealed why he resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Ondo Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, has shunned the Ondo State congress of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party.

Naija News recalls that the Deputy Governor who joined Ondo PDP in June but refused to resign from office, contested the party primary but lost to Eyitayo Jegede.

After the loss, the Ondo Deputy Governor denied plans to leave the party but his campaign posters of the Zenith Labour Party(ZLP) surfaced even though he is yet to resign from the PDP.

A report monitored on The Nation by Naija News quoted a close aide of Ajayi to have said that the Ondo Deputy Governor was not in Akure, the Ondo State capital for the Ondo PDP Congress.

Despite his absence, voting has however commenced at the PDP state congress with the outgoing Acting Chairman of the Ondo PDP, Engr. Clement Faboyede, saying he expected the winners to embrace all contestants.

The outgoing Acting Chairman of the Ondo PDP said the peaceful conduct of the exercise showed the PDP was different from other political parties, adding that the party wants to go into the governorship a united family.
