‘My Husband Is In Heaven’ – Ajimobi’s Wife

The wife of the former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, Florence, on Sunday, noted that her husband is in heaven.

The former Oyo State first lady stated this while speaking at her residence in Oluyole, Ibadan.

Florence stated this when she was visited by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) leadership in Oyo State, the delegation which was led by the chairman, Ademola Babalola, paid her an Eid-el-Kabir visit.

She noted that she misses her husband whom she described as her strength and greatest supporter.

Florence who noted that Ajimobi lived a fulfilled life said, “What does it profit a man even if he lived up to 90 years and he can’t make heaven?”.

She noted that “Abiola Ajimobi made heaven and he is at peace with God. That is my greatest consolation. That is my joy. I cried and was sad because I miss him.”

Florence added that she knows her husband’s spirit lives on.

“This is because to live in the heart of people you love means you live forever. God helping us, everything he has achieved in Oyo State and Nigeria by extension will forever live on”, she said.
