Eid-El-Kabir: President Buhari Celebrates Sallah With Family In Abuja (Photos And Video)

The president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, joined other Muslim faithful in celebrating the 2020 Eid-El-Kabir at the State House in Abuja.

Some immediate family members as well as close personal aides of the President were also present at the Sallah prayer.

In full compliance with COVID-19 protocols, President Buhari as well as other worshippers at the mosque were seen using their nose masks, even as social distancing was also observed.

Buhari, who shared some of the pictures via his personal Twitter account reiterated that he observed the Eid-El-Kabir prayers at home with his family based on recommendations of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 and the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.

The President also used the occasion to wish Nigerians a safe and happy Eid celebration.

He wrote on Twitter: “I observed the Eid El-Kabir prayers at home with my family, this morning, in keeping with the advisories from the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 and the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs. Once again I wish us all a safe and happy Eid.”
