Edo 2020: 5,000 Youths Endorse Ize-Iyamu

The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Edo State, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has received the support of over 5000 youths across 18 Local Government Areas of the State under the aegis of the Edo Patriotic Youth Movement.

The endorsement of Ize-Iyamu was revealed on Thursday during the meeting between selected representatives of the group and some APC leaders.

This is coming a few days after some political appointees in the state recently resigned their appointment in support of Ize-Iyamu and APC.

Ize-Iyamu while receiving the endorsement alongside his running mate, Gani Audu, appreciated the youths and reassured them that his government would prioritise job creation and youth empowerment.

He commended the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led government for implementing harsh policies and prolonged detentions of the poor over their inability to pay unfair fines and taxes.

Ize-Iyamu said, “Government should solve problems, not lament, fold its hand, and insult people. I have an agenda of what I will do, the incumbent has nothing to show after four years in office.”
