Former National Chairman of Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, has again boasted that Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the party’s governorship candidate of Edo gubernatorial will emerge victorious in the coming election.

According to the politician, the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has no achievement to show in the state, reiterating that their candidate would lose all the 18 local government areas in the State to Ize-Iyamu.

Oshiomhole who was once a governor of Edo state for eight years, while addressing some youths who paid Ize-Iyamu a visit on Tuesday, July 28 told PDP not to focus on things he said in the past concerning the person of Ize-Iyamu.

He said, “rather than focus on the past, PDP should present their achievements and plans to the people, ahead of the governorship election.”

According to him, the party has no achievements to display because they have none. He added, “They have decided to focus on Oshiomhole although he is not on the ballot.”

“Pastor Ize-Iyamu is a good man with genuine plans to move Edo State forward. He has the support of all and is on his way to repeating the 2012 feat of winning in all the 18 local governments as I did when he was my campaign director-general.”

Naija News understands that Edo State governorship election is scheduled to hold on September 19, 2020, and Ize-Iyamu and the incumbent governor, Godwin Obaseki are the leading contestants ahead of the election.

Speaking in an interview with BBC Hausa service monitored in Kaduna on Tuesday, Mamman Daura said he doesn’t dictate to Buhari.
