A horrible accident in West African country, Mali, has claimed lives of 22 persons, leaving twenty-one others severely injured, Naija News learnt.

According to reports, the disturbing incident had happened between a minibus with a dump truck.

Naija News learnt that the deadly accident occurred in the early hour of Tuesday, on a national highway linking the town of Kangaba near the border with Guinea to Bancoumana, in the Southern part of Mali.

Reporting the incident, Mali Transport Ministry confirmed in a statement confirmed that no less than nineteen people have died in the ghastly motor coalition. He noted further that 7 victims of the deadly accident were badly injured.

“The reasons behind the accident are excessive speed and non-respect of road rules,” the ministry stated.

Naija News recalls that the Nigerian Police Force has confirmed that seven of its men lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident along the Kaduna-Zaria Road.

Eleven others who survived the accident have been moved to a hospital where they are receiving treatment.
