Suspected Fulani militias have reportedly killed seven persons, including an 85-year-old man at Agwala Magayaki of Doka Avong in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Naija News reports that the attack which occurred on Thursday left several people missing and houses destroyed.

A source told The Punch on Friday that scores were injured during the attack which took place at about 8 pm when the villagers were sleeping.

The deceased had since been given mass burial while those who sustained varying degrees of injuries were admitted to the Idon General Hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.

This was fourth in the series of attacks launched by suspected Fulani militia on Southern Kaduna communities in Kaura and Zango-Kataf local government areas of the state.

Recently, gunmen invaded Kukum-Daji village in Kaura Local Government Area at about 10pm and killed no fewer than 21 people at a wedding, mostly youths.

Naija News had reported earlier that suspected Fulani herdsmen on Monday night reportedly killed 11 people in Gora Gan village, Zangon Kataf LGA of Kaduna State. Seven persons were reported to have suffered different degrees of injuries, with others missing.

Pastor Isaac Ango Makam, the Vice-Chairman of CAN in the local government area, said the attackers numbering 50, stormed the village at about 7 pm. He said the attackers started shooting sporadically, leading to the loss of lives and burning of an undisclosed number of houses.

The Vice-Chairman of CAN said the remains of the people killed were deposited at the Zonkwa General hospital while some of the villagers are still searching for their loved ones.

While on Wednesday, five people were killed in an attack on Kizachi-Chawai community, Kauru Local Government Area.
