Nigerian Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has welcome former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, back to the All Progressives Congress, APC camp.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria took to his verified account on the microblogging site, Twitter, on Friday night to say that Dogara never left the APC even when he was with the opposition party.

Naija News reported on Friday, July 24 that the Chairman of the APC Caretaker/Convention Planning Committee and Governor of Kebbi State, Mai Malla Buni confirmed that Yakubu Dogara has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party to join the Nigeria ruling party, APC.

The disclosure was made a few moments after the former speaker of the lower chamber of the National Assembly met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Reacting to Dogara’s defection, Keyamo tweeted: “Welcome back home, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, my classmate, my brother and friend. You really never left us in spirit!”

Naija News understands that Dogara had dumped the APC in the year 2019 just before the general election to join the PDP. He, however, returned to the ruling party again after twenty months after his defection.

In another news, the governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Ondo, Chief Olusola Oke, has given Governor Rotimi Akeredolu seven-day ultimatum to conclude all reconciliation efforts with a view to uniting all aggrieved members of the party, Naija News reports.
