Nnamdi Kanu: You Can't Intimidate Us, Stop Open Display Of Hatred For Igbos - IPOB Fires Back At Buhari

The leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has reacted to the call by a Muslim influencer and reformist Imam, Mohammad Tawhidi, popularly known as Imam of Peace, for the immediate arrest of Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari.

Naija News had reported earlier that Imam of Peace made this call on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, where he listed several reasons the Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria should be arrested.

This online news platform understands that the Muslim influencer listed the decision of the Nigerian government under President Buhari to free thousands of “repentant  Boko Haram terrorists” into the society as well as the “corruption” rocking the “Next Level” administration of President Buhari.

The call came after Naija News had earlier reported that the call by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for President Buhari to resign has been faulted by the Presidency.

PDP’s National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, on Friday called on President Buhari to resign from office, citing prevailing corruption in federal agencies and insecurity across the nation.

The Presidency through the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, while reacting to the call in a statement on Friday night, said the President would not heed such call.

The Presidency said the call by the PDP chairman was a mere camouflage of the PDP’s fear the various probes initiated by the Buhari administration, which had led to the uncovering of the many cases of corruption, would expose characters within the opposition further.

“President Buhari will not resign. He is determined to continue the crusade against corruption, both legacy and recently unearthed cases, that are found to be shabbily handled, and in some cases unattended to by past administrations,” the Presidency said.

Reacting in a series of tweets on Saturday, Imam of Peace wrote: “Today we are going to make #ArrestBuhari trend. He freed thousands of Boko Haram terrorists. They are killing people daily while Buhari plays Mr Peace in Mali.

“Buhari freeing thousands of Boko Haram terrorists because they “repented” is treason. They have killed thousands since then, and he is responsible.

“He shouldn’t resign. He should be arrested and dragged into the back of a police van and locked up. This corrupt person freed thousands of Boko Haram Terrorist because they “repented.” They’re now massacring Christians.”

Imam of Peace continued: “Charged for corruption should be the last thing he worries about. Buhari should he charged for collaborating with the Fulani CULT and striking a deal to free thousands of Boko Haram Jihadists who have killed thousands this year alone!”

Backing Imam of  Peace call, Kanu wrote: “While many people representing communities in the government are doing nothing about the ongoing genocide in the Zoo (Nigeria), people with a conscience like @Imamofpeace are speaking out to #ArrestBuhari. Now you can understand that the #TheZooHasFallen. Time for #BiafraExit.”
