The personal assistant on New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, Ahmad Bashir, has debunked the report that the Interim Management Committee of the Niger Delta Development Commission, has been dissolved.

Recall that the Senate on Thursday recommended to the President to dissolve the Interim Management Committee of the NDDC.

There had been speculations that the Presidential Spokespersons, Garba Shehu and Femi Adesina confirmed the dissolution of the committee on Thursday.

Bashir in a post on Twitter, however, noted that the report is fake and not from the Presidency.

He wrote: “A rogue statement on the dissolution of the Interim Management Committee of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), attributed to both @FemAdesina and @GarShehu, is making the rounds on some social media platforms, esp. WhatsApp, the statement is FAKE, not from the Presidency.”
