NCDC Explains 15 COVID-19 Deaths Recorded For Lagos State

Lagos Releases List Of 88 COVID-19 Vaccination Centres

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has clarified the 15 COVID-19 deaths recorded for Lagos State on Thursday, 23rd July.

Explaining the death records, the NCDC in a statement on its Twitter account noted that the 15 deaths reported for Lagos State on 23rd July include previously unreported deaths.

The statement further urged Nigerians to take responsibility and prevent further spread of the coronavirus disease.

Meanwhile, Naija News previously reported that the NCDC on Thursday, confirmed 604 new COVID-19 cases in Nigeria.

The development brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria to 38,948, which includes 16,061 discharged persons and 833 deaths.

Of the total confirmed cases on Thursday, Lagos had the highest number with 203 new infections.
