Lagos State Police Command said it has arrested and commenced investigation on two persons alleged to have caused the death of a lottery shop owner.

Naija News learnt that the pool owner who reportedly killed himself, leaving behind a suicide note had named two persons responsible for his death and are now in police custody.

Reports had it that the lottery shop operator who is popularly known as ‘Baba Pool’ on Thursday, July 23, hanged himself in his shop located at Kayode Market, Abule Ijesha, in Lagos State.

Traders in the market told authorities that the man had killed himself as he could not pay the winnings of his customers.

It was confirmed that the accused persons had visited Baba Pool’s shop a few days back to play the lottery. However, the lottery operator failed to submit their tickets to the lottery office. Days later when his customers understood that they had won their games, they stormed his shop to request for their money.

“Instead of explaining to them that he did not submit their tickets, he decided to take his life,” the traders noted.

Baba Pool before hanging himself wrote in a paper; “For your information, Bourney and Osuma. Two of them kill me. A killer must surely die.”

However, Elkana, noted that the two persons whose names were mentioned are currently answering questions at the station.

In another news, Naija News reported that one Mr Kehinde Omotosho has died in police detention over a crime committed by one of his sons.
