Nigerian actor and film producer, Pascal Atuma, has reacted to the probe on the management of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and the case against Ibrahim Magu, former acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

According to the Abia State-born actor in a recent post on his social media account, Instagram precisely, the National Assembly should initiate a bill which will allow for the execution of public fund looters by firing squad.

The Canadian based actor noted that prison sentences have not been effective enough in the country, hence there is a need to introduce an unfriendly law in order to discourage public officers from further looting of public funds in Nigeria.

Atuma urged Nigerian celebrities at home and abroad to use their voices to stand against looting of public funds in the country. He insisted that now is the time for all to stand against continuous looting in the country.

He said, ‘I honestly recommend an amendment bill or law to be considered by the Nigerian National Assembly for Execution by Firing Squad for Public Officers who loot Public funds. Prison Sentences have proved ineffective lately. A bill, law, however, it’s going to work.”

“Firing Squad will instil fear and discourage such flagrant abuse of Public trusts like the NDDC and EFCC saga which the Country has been enmeshed with lately. I also plead with other celebrities to use their Social Media Platforms to campaign against looting of Public funds and stop supporting crooked politicians for meal tickets, peanuts. It’s a shame that the country is burning and our colleagues are busy posting rubbish on social media.”

He added, “Are you guys really happy with the situation in our country or you’re posting fake happiness to keep your fans happy? Nigeria is burning, burning right in our eyes and the Nigerian stars who ate from these crooked politicians can’t say a word because they have sold their souls for peanuts, peanuts, poverty mentality and lack of vision is a disease, very shameful!!!!”

“This NDDC saga should be the last straw, if we don’t capitalize on this and fight these criminals now, then when??? When?? When they loot the country to death? The masses are already suffering, how much more do we want them to suffer before we fight the greedy devilish morons?'”

In another news, Naija News reported that a man has committed suicide in Lagos State over lottery money.

Lagos State Police Command said it has arrested and commenced investigation on two persons alleged to have caused the death of a lottery shop owner.
