Ondo 2020: Jegede Wins PDP Primaries

Barrister Eyitayo Jegede, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) has won the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship election ticket.

Naija News learnt that Jegede defeated seven others, including Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi, who defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress with over 888 votes.

It was also gathered that Agboola Ajayi pulled  -657 votes, while Eddie Olafeso pulled 175 votes and Bode Ayorinde pulled 95 votes. Jegede, who was the PDP candidate in the 2016 election, lost to incumbent Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
