Napoli are close to securing the services of Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen and the deal could be announced as soon as Friday.
Napoli, who have had their sights on bringing the prolific striker to Italy would be paying about €80m for the Nigeria international, Naija News understands.
It was also learnt that the deal between the club and the player stalled due to negotiations about his image rights but that seem to have been overcome.
Osimhen currently plays for French Ligue 1 side, Lille, but is close to a summer switch to Napoli.
Punch reports that the 21-year-old will soon be announced as a Napoli player after reaching an agreement with Los Douges.
“There’s an agreement already with Napoli, so we wait for the announcement on Friday,” his agent and brother-in-law, Stanley Okolo, told the newspaper.
Osimhen will emerge as Nigeria and Africa’s most expensive player should the deal be completed as expected.
His transfer fee will eclipse the £72m paid by Arsenal for the services of Ivory Coast’s Nicolas Pepe last summer.
