Why PDP Will Continue To Get Bigger In Ondo - Jegede

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State, Eyitayo Jegede, on Wednesday noted that the end has come to the ruling of the All Progressives Congress in the state.

The former Attorney General of the state stated this shortly after his victory during the primary election of the party.

Jegede noted that with the support of the party as well as that of the co-aspirants, the eviction of the ruling party will be achieved in the October 20, governorship election.

He said, “by the support of the people of the state, party members and the assistant of co-aspirants, we will take over the government of Ondo state, come October 2020.”

“I dedicate this victory to the people of Ondo State and my co-aspirants who have shown the great spirit of sportsmanship.”

Recall that Jegede defeated the Deputy Governor of the state, Agboola Ajayi in keenly contested primaries.

Jegede was the PDP candidate in 2016. He lost the 2016 governorship election to the incumbent governor of the state, Rotimi Akeredolu.

With his emergence as the PDP standard bearer, Jegede will again be contesting against Akeredolu who is seeking re-election in the October 20, 2020 polls.
