Breaking: Nigerian Senate Goes On Break Till September 15

The Nigerian Senate, the upper chamber of the National Assembly has embarked on a recess from today, Thursday, July 23, and will resume on September 15, 2020.

This was disclosed by Senate President, Ahmad Lawan at the close of plenary today.

“The Senate will go on recess from Thursday, 23rd July 2020, and will resume on the 15th Day of September 2020,” Lawan declared.

This follows the motion moved by the Senate Leader that all items on the order paper be stood down to another legislative day.

The motion was seconded by the Minority Leader.
