Governorship Primary: Ondo PDP Delegates Commence Voting

Delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State has commenced voting for the governorship candidate of the party at the main auditorium of the International Event Centre, Akure, the Ondo State capital.

The delegates who were spotted with their delegate tags were permitted to enter the hall, local government by local government as they vote for their preferred aspirants.

The governorship ticket is between eight governorship aspirants in the party ahead of the governorship election in the state.

The aspirants include, Mr Eyitayo Jegede, Mr Agoola Ajayi, Mr Eddy Olafeso and Mr Banji Okunomo, Mr Sola Ebiseni, Dr Bode Ayorinde, Senator Boluwaji Kunlere, and Godday Erewa.

There is the presence of armed security operatives at the venue to guide against any possible breakdown of the law and order.

The governorship primary of PDP is conducted in line with COVID-19 protocols as any delegate or stakeholder without a tag on or a facemask was not allowed into the arena.
