Delta Assembly Screens, Confirms 26 Commissioner Nominees

Delta State House of Assembly on Wednesday, passed into law, the bill to establish the State Community Security Corps Agency 2020.

Naija News reports that the Delta Assembly passed the bill into law after it was read for the third time on the floor of the house.

This online news platform recalls that the Delta State Community Security Corps Agency Bill was forwarded to the State House of Assembly by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa two weeks ago. The community-based security outfit established to maintain law and order in the state.

Tim Owhefere, the Majority Leader of the House, while speaking after the bill was passed said the security outfit became necessary as the country has been witnessing insecurity and must be supported by all stakeholders.

The Majority Leader of the House maintained that the community-based security agency would assist the Nigerian Police Force in policing the state.
