Senator John Akpan Udoedehe, Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Committee has warned party members to step up.

Senator Udoedehe gave the warning when hosting a Coalition of the APC Support Groups, led by Mr Frank Ossai, at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

The APC scribe urged the party support groups to become more relevant in their domains ahead of 2023 general elections.

Udoedehe said President Muhammadu Buhari would not be available to swing votes for the APC with is cult following as he won’t be contesting in the 2023 election.

While urging members to be relevant in the grassroots, he said nobody would have the opportunity to hide under the integrity of Buhari in 2023 general elections.

According to the former lawmaker, the APC Caretaker Committee will consider the request of the groups to be included in the various campaign teams to be despatched to Edo and Ondo States ahead of the forthcoming to governorship elections there.

He also promised to address the issues of lack of rewarding system and the party’s leadership failure to carry the group’s members along raised by the group.

“Owing to your contribution to the party, we will integrate and reconcile aggrieved members to ensure that they are part of the party system,” Udoedehe said.
