Aisha Buhari Breaks Silence On Isa Funtua’s Death

Aisha Buhari, Wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, has expressed sadness over the death of Mallam Ismaila Isa Funtua.

In a series of post on Twitter, Aisha Buhari stated that late Funtua supported the appointment of women into several boards in the past four years.

She prayed that God grant the deceased’s family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

She wrote: “Inna lillahi Wa inna ilaihi Raji’un. On behalf of my family, I extend our condolence to Mrs Hauwa Isa Funtua and the entire family on the sudden death of Malam Ismaila Isa Funtua.

“We pray that Allah SWT will grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.

“Mallam Ismaila Isa Funtua will be remembered for his support to female politicians, especially his role to get them appointed into different boards in the last 4 years.”

Naija News recalls that Isa Funtua died in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital while undergoing a routine medical check-up.

The Newspaper patron and influential media leader, who reportedly suffered a massive heart attack during the medical check-up, died at 78 years old.
