Ghana: President Nana Akufo-Addo Resumes Office

The announcement was made by the Ghanaian Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, on Sunday, July 19. According to the minister, the head of state resumed his duties from his office at the presidential palace Golden Jubilee House, as of Monday, after completing 14 days of self-quarantine at the presidential villa in Accra.

The Ghanaian president had been isolated as a precaution in early July due to the test of one of his team members, who tested positive for COVID-19. Tested negative after taking her samples, Nana Akufo-Addo also followed the health quarantine protocol.
