Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s bid to get the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ondo governorship election got a major boost on Monday.

Naija News reports that more aspirants withdrew from the governorship race and endorsed the incumbent.

On Sunday, Engr. Ifeoluwa Oyedele became the first aspirant to step down for the Governor.

Others who announced their withdrawal from the race for Akeredolu include Dr. Olusegun Abraham, Jimi Odimayo and Dr. Nath Adojutelegan.

They said they withdrew from the race in the interest of the APC.

Meanwhile, accreditation of delegates for the primary of the APC in Ondo State is ongoing.

Delegates from Akoko-South West, Akoko-South-East, Akoko-North East have just been ushered into the premises of the Dome, venue of the accreditation and voting.

Heavy security has been beefed up at the venue of the primary.

There are a noticeable large crowd of delegates outside the gate waiting to be accredited.
