Coronavirus: Lagos Discharges 42 COVID-19 Patients

COVID-19 Lockdown Ease: Lagos Lists Businesses, Offices, Banned From Operating Till May 31

The Lagos State government has discharged 42 COVID-19 patients from its isolation centres after they were managed and fully recovered from the virus.

Those discharged were 17 females and 25 males including 10 foreign nationals who have all tested negative to COVID-19.

This was disclosed on Friday in a statement by the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

He said: “Today, 42 #COVID19Lagos patients; 17 females and 25 males including 10 foreign nationals were discharged from our Isolation facilities to reunite with the society.”

“The patients; 8 from Gbagada, 5 from Agidingbi, 15 from Eti-Osa (LandMark) 6 from Onikan and 8 from LUTH Isolation Centres were discharged after full recovery and testing negative to COVID19.”

The Governor also used the opportunity to remind and warn Lagos residents that going out without the use of facemasks is now a criminal offence in the state.

“Remember, it is now a criminal offence in Lagos State to go out without using a facemask. Let’s continue to adhere strictly to all public advisories given by government #ForACOVID19FreeLagos,” Sanwo-Olu warned.
