The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has reported six hundred and forty-three confirmed new cases of Coronavirus disease in Nigeria.

This brings the overall cases of the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic in the country to 34,259, Naija News understands.

According to the health agency, 6 COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the country on July 15, 2020. It also confirmed that 13,999 people have so far been discharged of the novel virus while 760 deaths have been recorded in 36 states including the Federal Capital Territory.

The newly reported cases are reported from 19 states of Nigeria, Naija News understands. See the reported cases below according to states;

Lagos (230), Oyo (69), FCT (51), Edo (43), Osun (35), Rivers (30), Ebonyi (30), Kaduna (28), Ogun (27), Ondo (23), Plateau (20), Benue (17), Enugu (16), Imo (10), Delta (6), Kano (4), Nasarawa (2), Kebbi (1), and Ekiti State (1).

Meanwhile, the six states in the Southwest region of the country have agreed to reopen schools to allow SS3 students to participate in the 2020 West African School Certificate Examination (WASCE).
