The sudden and untimely death of Tolulope Arotile, Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot has continued to generate reactions from Nigerians.

As earlier reported by Naija News, the 23-years old Arotile died as a result of head injuries she sustained from an accident at the Nigerian Air Force base in Kaduna state, northern Nigeria.

The death of the Flying Officer was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday night by the Director of Public Relations and Information Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola.

Arotile was commissioned into the NAF in September 2017 as a member of Nigerian Defence Academy Regular Course 64.

Naija News has now obtained an emotional video of the late Arotile during her lifetime, where she talked about her reasons for joining the military and what she hopes to achieve.

“Before her untimely death, Flying Officer Arotile made significant and outstanding contributions to the war against terrorism, armed banditry and other forms of criminality in the country, flying several combat missions”, NAF said about the late officer.
