Two Nigerian Soldiers Escape Death From Boko Haram After Police Effort

A squad of the Nigeria Police Force in Borno State has reportedly delivered two men of the Nigeria Army from been killed by insurgents in a recent raid.

Naija News learnt that men of the police force has rescued two military personnel from Boko Haram terrorist during an offensive attack on the patrolling troops.

It was reported that the deadly terrorist group had killed two of the army troops and kidnapped others before a Counter Terrorism Unit, CTU of the police force made efforts to rescue two military men.

The development was contained in the Police Situation Report (SITREP) released on Tuesday, July 14, PRNigeria confirmed.

The news agency confirmed that “an Army Patrol Team was attacked by Boko Haram along Auno Road” at about 2:30 pm on July 13, 2020.

“The sect killed two soldiers and kidnapped others, two military gun trucks, AK 47 rifles and unspecified numbers of ammunition were carted away,” the report noted.

It added, “Counter-Terrorism Unit of the Nigeria Police on pin down point (operation), at the area went after the terrorists. After a gun battle recovered one gun-truck, rifles and rescued two soldiers alive.”

Naija News learnt that the items recovered have been handed over to the Borno State Commissioner of Police for documentation.

Meanwhile, Naija News reported earlier that First Nigeria Air Force female combat pilot,  Tolulope Arotile is dead.
