The clerk of the National Assembly, Alhaji Mohammed Sani-Omolori has been sacked by the National Assembly Service Commission.

The sack which occurred on Wednesday, 15th July, also affected 149 other members of staff.

Naija News understands that any staff who has spent 35 years in service or has attained the age of 60 was affected by the retrenchment exercise carried out by the National Assembly Service Commission.

The letter from the Commission indicated that the affected staff members would receive their retirement letters soon.

This online news reports that there had been complaints about the continued stay in office of Alhaji Mohammed Sani-Omolori as the National Assembly clerk.
