Speaker Gbajabiamila Mourns Tolulope Arotile

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the Nigerian Airforce, family and friends of the late Tolulope Arotile.

The President’s condolence message was revealed in a tweet by Bashir Ahmad, his Personal Assistant on New Media on Wednesday, July 15 on the microblogging site, Twitter.

Buhari commended the deceased braveness and display of skills in manoeuvring combat helicopters, which he occasionally witnessed with pride.

Naija News had reported earlier that the first Nigeria Air Force female combat pilot, Tolulope Arotile died at age 23 as a result of head injuries she sustained from an accident at the Nigerian Air Force base in Kaduna state, northern Nigeria.

Reacting to Arotile’s painful exit, Ahmed tweeted, “President @MBuhari commiserates with the @NigAirForce, airmen, airwomen and all friends of Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile, recalling her deft skills in manoeuvring combat helicopters, which he had physically witnessed with pride.”
