Obaseki Revokes Ize-Iyamu’s Ownership Of 18 Hectare Land

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Edo State, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has accused Governor Godwin Obaseki of only giving N5 million to the police out of the N600 million received monthly as security vote.

This, Ize-Iyamu said during a live broadcast on his Facebook page today.

He further pledged to give more resources to tackle insecurity in the state.

According to him, the present administration isn’t sincere with its pledged to safeguard the lives and properties of people in the state.

“The present government has not been able to show serious commitment to security funding. Every month, the governor collects over N600 million as security vote and gives the police N5 million, not even enough to fuel vehicles,” he said.

He expressed his shock that Edo state is the only state in the south-south which hasn’t involved technology in battling crime.

“In this age, what is our investment in technology? Edo State might be the only state in the South-South that does not have trackers that can be used to trace kidnappers. The government must show sincerity in combating crime”, the candidate stressed.
