DSS Detectives Commence Trail On Burglars Of NFIU Office
It could be recalled that the NFIU office which is the central national agency responsible for handling auditory disclosures and intelligence in the financial sector was on July 9 invaded by some yet to be identified individuals.
A team of detectives from the Department of State Service (DSS) has reportedly launched a search for individuals responsible for invading the office of the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) office in the last week.
It could be recalled that the NFIU office which is the central national agency responsible for handling auditory disclosures and intelligence in the financial sector was on July 9 invaded by some yet to be identified individuals.
Naija News reports that some unknown persons broke into the NFIU office and carted away vital documents as well destroyed computers containing evidence against the suspended chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu.
Naija News learnt that a team of detectives following analysis on the footage of the incident as revealed by a CCTV camera, have launched a manhunt on the suspects.
Recall that the former EFCC boss is currently facing a Presidential panel for alleged mismanagement of recovered funds and lack of transparency in the recovered assets NFIU happens to be the agency that investigated all the allegations of financial malfeasance against him.
